Dr. Abhishek is an Associate Professor of Medical Parasitology at PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. His expertise lies in the diagnosis, research, and teaching of medical parasitology, with a focus on infectious diseases like Malaria, Cysticercosis, Echinococcosis, Soil Transmitted Helminths, Strongyloidiasis, Filariasis, Toxoplasmosis, and Medical Entomology. He has conducted diagnostic and observational studies, specifically on Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) disease in North India.
Dr. Abhishek's contributions have been recognized, including an Excellence in Book Production award in 2021 for his textbook "Textbook of Medical Parasitology," which secured the second prize in the Scientific/Technical/Medical book category. He has more than 50 publications on his name published in top journals.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Abhishek actively supports various causes such as animal welfare, arts and culture, children, civil rights and social action, environment, health, human rights, and science and technology.
