Dr. Aditya Singh is a geographer and demographer, currently working as an assistant professor at Banaras Hindu University (India). He holds a PhD from the University of Portsmouth's School of Health and Care Professions in the United Kingdom. He obtained his MPhil in Demography from the International Institute for Population Sciences in 2010 and a Master of Arts degree in Geography from Banaras Hindu University in 2009. His research interests lie at the intersection of public health, demography, and social sciences, including geography. He has published over 30 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals such as The Lancet Psychiatry, Health Policy and Planning, Victims & Offenders, SSM Population Health, Journal of Biosocial Science, PLOS Global Public Health, Trials, BMC Public Health, BMC Health Services Research, Epidemiology & Health, PLOS ONE, Journal of Public Health (Oxford), and PeerJ. He has also edited a book on urban poverty in India with his French collaborator Dr. Olivier Brito. He is currently working on intimate partner violence, unintended pregnancy, and the use of sanitary absorbents during menstruation.
