Dr. Ashoo Grover is an accomplished medical professional serving as a Scientist 'F' (Medical) Deputy Director General Senior Grade at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). She completed her MBBS from MD University, Rohtak, and MD from PGIMER, Chandigarh. She gained additional expertise through international fellowships and specialized training in the USA, UK, and Thailand. Since joining ICMR in 2005, Dr. Grover has held various positions overseeing areas such as Oral Health, Neurological Sciences, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Gastroenterology. She established initiatives like the Special Program for Medical Colleges, Multidisciplinary Research Units, and Model Rural Health Research Units across 25 states in India. She also contributed to the development of Health Technology Assessment mechanisms. She played a crucial role in formulating the Knowledge Management Policy for Health Research. Dr. Grover has published around 50 research papers in Indian and international journals and prepared 12 reports for conferences and workshops.
