Dr. Kapil Goel is currently working as Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh. He is specialised in Epidemiology field. Dr Goel holds a master's degree (MD) in community medicine from Manipal University, India and graduated from the India Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS), National Centre for Disease Control, India, in collaboration with the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, USA. He has over 20 years of experience in implementing public health programs. His areas of interest are epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases, public health emergencies including outbreaks and disaster management, disease surveillance, data analysis and biostatistics. He has a rich experience of working with top international organizations like WHO, UNICEF and CDC. He holds more than 70 scientific publications in high impact journals of national and international repute. He is faculty and mentor to many prestigious programs like India EIS, WHO-AEP and American Thoracic Society MECOR program.
