Dr. Poonam Khanna

Dr. Khanna is an Associate Professor of Nutrition in the Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health. She is an eminent researcher in the field of Nutrition and public health. She been awarded the Best Scientist award at the National Nutri-Cereal Convention 4.0 held in Hyderabad organized by Nutrihub, ICAR-IIMR. Dr. Khanna received the prestigious Poshak Anaaj Award 2022 from notable personalities including Shri Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, the Hon'ble Agriculture Minister of Telangana. Dr. Poonam has been actively working in Punjab and Chandigarh communities to create awareness about the nutritional, health, and environmental advantages of millets. Dr. Khanna's efforts are contributing to the wider adoption of millets for improved nutrition and sustainable agriculture practices in India.
