Dr. Shankar Prinja is a Professor of Health Economics at the Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. He is a medical doctor with specialization in community medicine/public health. He has also studied health economics from the London School of Economics. Dr. Prinja has been awarded the prestigious Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance Intermediate Fellowship. His research interests include health economics, health systems research, and implementation research. He has published over 200 research papers in national and international journals.
